Description

Set in a peaceful, rural location in the rolling Radnorshire countryside, this contemporary lodge-style accommodation makes a perfect retreat for a couple.  The dark night skies of this region make it ideal for relaxing under the stars in the hot tub, and there are romantic country walks, picturesque villages and historic market towns to explore nearby.

Lovers’ Lodge is single storey, approached up a short flight of steps onto the front decking, with hot tub. The enclosed, grassed grounds include a picnic bench.

The accommodation briefly comprises:

Boot Room: for storing boots, walking gear and bikes.

Entrance: into open plan living room, with coat hooks by the door.

Kitchen Area: with contemporary fitted units, electric single oven and hob with extractor hood over, microwave, large integrated fridge freezer and slim dishwasher. Breakfast bar-style dining area with two leather bar-chairs.

Living Room: with large, comfortable sofa, decorative stove (non-functional), wall-mounted flat screen TV with Free Sat, DVD player, WiFi, music system with iPod dock.

Bedroom: Compact, with a double bed, built-in wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Shower Room: with contemporary suite and fittings, large walk-in shower enclosure, WC, basin in vanity unit with lit mirror above, heated towel rail and extractor fan.

The lodge is heated by electric radiators, is double glazed and well insulated.

Lovers' Lodge is set at the top end of the owner's land, in enclosed grounds, with access to 10 acres of fields, with small touring caravan site (a few vans only, glamping pod and small shower block, set well away from the Lodge) and Fishery; coarse fishing (carp) on site, but do book in advance to be sure of a peg.  Plenty of excellent walking and cycling in the area.  Local attractions include Abbey Cwm Hir hall and gardens, National Cycle Museum at Llandrindod Wells, Judges' Lodgings at Presteigne. It is just 12 miles to the Red Kite Feeding Station at Rhayader, with the Elan Valley just a little further. The Radnorshire hills and moors are excellent for walking and nature spotting throughout the year, and the dark sky status makes it ideal for star-gazing!
